Use PuTTY to access your Linux server.

If your server is running Linux as the OS, you have to use a terminal program, like PuTTY to access it.  If you are want to access your server from a Windows machine, go here and download putty.exe (the first file you can download)

Then put your IP address in the Host name or (IP address) field and click Open.

You will receive a PuTTY Security Alert.  Click Yes. This will connect you to the terminal screen to login.

Now type in:  root
as the user, Enter, then put in the password provided.  You are now logged into your server.
